Aisan Water Heated Choke Linkages |
|
I have not come across to many water heated choke units on an Aisan carburettor, but I have on the Mikuni's. They operate exactly the same. Over the years the wax pellet eventually fails and the auto choke becomes a problem. Generally they stay on and when that happens the fast idle remains on with the consequence that the idle speed can not be lowered. I just happen to have an Aisan in my possession with such a choke set-up, so I made a video on how to adjust the linkages so that you can return the engine to normal idle speed. I show how to tighten and loosen the choke butterfly and where that adjuster screw is, where the idle speed screw is and where the fast idle speed screw adjuster is. Between those three you will be able to re-adjust the carby back to normal idle speed.
